One of our signature Bell and Bird designs. This solitaire ring features a main round old European cut diamond surrounded by 8 single-cut diamonds subtlety peeking out from underneath the main stone. There are two additional single cut diamonds at the base of the whisper thin, hand filed knife edge band. Set in our 18k old gold. This example showcases a deeply crowned GIA certified 2.51 carat H color and VS2 clarity old mine cut diamond.

About our single-cut diamonds: We have our single-cut diamonds cut especially for us. We partner with a 90-year-old Belgian company whose process is entirely vertical, from sourcing to polish. Nothing is outsourced, and all stones come from responsible, documented origins. All stones are inspected in Antwerp before making their way to us. The single cut differs from a modern full cut in that it has 17 facets vs. a full cut’s 57 facets. A single-cut stone emits a more elegant quality of sparkle that is clearer and crisp. Stones like these were originally cut in the early 1900s and can be seen in the antique pieces we collect and sell.
Handmade in our Texas workshop, this ring is in our custom blend of 18K rose gold. A more subdued, darker tone than commercially available rose gold. We call this color “old gold” and created the alloy in the spirit of the many 19th century rings we have handled.
