Nice wide example of an early 19th century mourning ring. These rings were bequeathed to loved ones in the deceased estate. One, two or perhaps, a dozen could have been made. We have another ring from the same estate that is for another family member. This one reads “Robert Ledger, died October 7 1817. Aged 83” With additional information hand engraved on the interior. English hallmarks indicate the ring was made in London. 18k Gold & black enamel.
Size 6.75″, can not be sized.
