Late 18th century Portuguese pendeloque earrings. Beautifully set paste stones set in sterling silver. Circa 1770/1800. Neo-classical Portuguese design from the end of the 18th century. A lengthened version of the traditional romantic proportioned jewelry of the early 1700’s. One slight repair on the back of one drop. Not at all visible from the front of the earring. Original ear wires with hoops. Lighter than much jewelry of this style making it very wearable. These are a wonderful variation of this type of earring. See a similar pair at the V&A in London.
3.25″ in length and .75″ wide at widest point.
