A rare set of matched gold bangle bracelets dating to the late 19th century. A beaded detail surrounds the intricately pierced convex panel. A dark patina surrounding the pierce work gives a bold contrast in gold color. They are preserved in the original fitted box. There is a remnant of a note detailing the origin, stating the bangles were bought in Paris. Circa 1880. European in origin.
The back of the bangle reveals wear and age with minor denting. The bracelets are a small size with an inner circumference of 6″ and 1.25″ wide.
