Pre-Russian Revolution miniature egg pendant with a finely executed two-tone gold laurel wreath band. In the style of Fabergé egg pendant, by workmaster Henrik Wigstrom. The original bale that may have included hallmarks has been lost with time but this pendant closely resembles known work by the house of Fabergé.
An old Russian tradition of annually gifting girls an egg pendant around Easter. The egg was a symbol of rebirth and new life. Found in London. Circa 1900.
